Random House Kids Influencer FAQ
1. How does Random House Children’s Books work with influencers?
There are several ways influencers can work with Random House Children’s Books:
Random House Children’s Books Influencer Program
The Random House Children’s Books Influencer Program allows members to select up to 10 titles that they would like to receive each season. Finished copy and ARC requests are fulfilled on a first come, first served basis. To qualify for this program, you must meet these qualifications:
- • 7K followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube
- • A record of being consistently active on social media channels (i.e. you have posted on your social channels within the last month)
- • A record of showing interest and commitment to reading (e.g. sharing books that you’re reading on social media, posting roundups of your reading list, hosting a book club, etc.)
- • Reside in the United States (due to restrictions on international shipping and foreign publishing rights)
- • Over the age of 13 (to ensure our compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)
If you’re interested in joining the YA program, please visit the Underlined Influencer Program FAQ.
Sponsored Content
Random House Children’s Books offers monetary compensation for sponsored content where posting is required. For these select campaigns, influencers are chosen on a case-by-case basis, determined by several factors, including but not limited to follower count, engagement rate, and the influencer’s preferred genres and categories. These paid posts will be within specific parameters, including timing and content guidelines, and potentially content approval.
NetGalley
Many Random House Children’s Books titles are available for request as digital ARCs on NetGalley.
Social Media and Blog Tour Companies
Random House Children’s Books works with tour companies on select titles that have major national media campaigns. Some companies we have worked in the past include Storygram Tours, TBR and Beyond Tours, and Hear Our Voices.
2. Am I able to work with more than one Penguin Random House imprint?
Yes. Unless you have signed a contract that states otherwise, you are eligible to work with more than one Penguin Random House imprint at a time.
3. Do you only work with influencers in the book space (Bookstagrammers, BookTokers, BookTubers) or are you open to working with influencers in other interest areas?
While we most frequently work with book influencers, we are also keen to work with influencers whose primary focus is not on books. If you and your audience have a genuine interest in books and reading, we’d love to consider working with you.
4. Can I work with Random House Children’s Books if I reside outside of the United States?
At this time, Random House Children’s Books is only able to work with influencers who reside within the United States. However, we are a global company with offices around the world and we recommend getting in touch with the Penguin Random House office in the country where you reside. You can also reach out to our International team at InternationalPublicity@penguinrandomhouse.com to check on the rights restrictions and availability of review copies on a title-by-title basis.
5. Can you provide a list of the influencers Penguin Random House currently works with?
Penguin Random House takes privacy very seriously and therefore we cannot provide the personal information of our partners.
